Now this is the EXTRA sucky bit, BLOGSPIRIT HAS NO EXPORTING FUNCTION! So that means all my blogs on Blogspirit cannot be transfered to my new blog. AHHH!! BLOGSPIRIT!!!
Oh well.. start again from scratch *Sigh*
BYE BYE BLOGSPIRIT! I HOPE YOU MANAGE TO ADVANCE YOUR FUNCTIONS! =)

I want to do something!
Lately I have been troubled by the situation with the 23 South Korean Christian Hostages in Afghanistan who were on a mission trip. The latest report is that 2 have now been killed since the American government failed to meet deadlines given to them to release Taliban prisoners.
This of course is not the worst of what’s happened on the news. Every day we hear new information about over hundreds of soldiers and innocent men, women and children being killed out in the Middle East; so why should 23 South Korean hostages trouble me especially? I guess just the fact that they are, although I don’t know them personally, my brothers and sisters in Christ and in a way it feels like knowing my own family is in danger. Every few hours through out these past few days I’ve just been constantly checking online to see if there has been any progress of them being released. It might take a while. Please pray for them! God’s hand is not too short to save!
It’s quite sad how innocent lives have to suffer for the poor decisions of their own leaders and the leaders of others. Some leaders say its good and best to go fight and kill and as a result creating more trouble for their own country in the end. I read in a news report that at least 80% of the American population disagrees with the government’s decisions to fight in war and thousands of innocent people are killed in the Middle East for reasons they have nothing to do with! God’s been teaching me a lot through all this about the responsibility of leaders and of how every decision a leader makes can have a huge impact on the people under their care. The American Government at this moment have pretty much left the Korean Hostages in the hands of the Taliban and have ignored every deadline that has been set for them- Gee, how can you sleep at night knowing that your decisions are causing innocent lives to perish? That breaks my heart. Pray for God to change the hearts of our leaders and to grant them wisdom in the ways in which they deal with situations!
I was reading Isaiah this morning and found great comfort in Gods words spoken through prophecy, about Jesus coming back for us, for those who have been faithful to Him and establishing His Kingdom. Those who have been oppressed will be vindicated and those who have enforced laws to harm the poor will be punished. Jesus reigns and He will be THE BEST leader. Right now across the whole Earth is the kingdom of God expanding in the hearts of man. Let us do all we can to extend His Kingdom so that leadership of evil rulers can come to an end and Jesus can take His place as Lord. I’ve felt so hopeless here where I am, in my comfortable, cozy little life within a very privileged country… I want to do something! It assures me and gives me great peace in knowing that Jesus is alive and is coming back for us. I don’t want to waste my time, I want to do something. I’m itching to do something!!!
Father use us right here in Ablaze, in this very city. Let us not get caught up in just “doing” life, in just enjoying life and keeping our freedom for our own pleasure, but let us bring your good news to this Earth! Run us into those who are hurting and who are hungry for You right now God! Make us more desperate to see Your Kingdom extended! TURN UP THE COMPASSION IN OUR HEARTS! MOVE OUR FEET GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mum knows best
My mum offered to make me a cup of her famous "Flower" tea today (in chinese pronounced- "Gook Far So"), even after knowing that I DON'T LIKE IT from the many times that I have refused to drink it in the past. I don't think I have ever said yes once, yet mum keeps asking and insisting that it's good for me.
Today, mum played a trick on me. After I refused to drink the "Gook Far So", mum then changed her offer to, "Or how about Honey drink?"... mum knows that I like honey drink and so I said "Yes please! Thanks mum you're the best!" After a while, mum came out with the mug of what was meant to be "Honey drink"-- but when I tasted it, I recognised it as..."GOOK FAR SO!!"
SNEAKY MUM!!!
...yes mothers, they will do all they can to accomplish what they know is best for us
hehe... I love my mum. Here's a picture of her in her very sneaky pose. haha.
